Portico is built!

We have come a long way in this process. As you can see, the portico is built, complete with trim work and wonderful columns. The massive steps are in place. They stretch from pillar to pillar on the front. They are made from thick and heavy wood that has been milled.

The entire portico has been primed for paint, but remember, it's NOT going to be white like the primer. The basic color of the house is gray.... "gull wing gray". The doors themselves will be stained and everything else will be painted.

You should now have a better idea of how it's going to end up looking.

Remember, the house will NOT be open for viewing. The interior, while a nice, livable home, bears NO resemblance to how it looked in 1860. It will be a private residence.

And, like I said above, the white color you see is only primer and is not the color of the house or portico.
